"BLINK."
A technology time-regulation device
that promotes calculated technology usage hours.
2015
We have been empowered by technology to satisfy the demands of modern living. However, the devices which are made to improve our lives seems to have taken control as we lose ourselves in virtual reality.

Unregulated technology usage exposes us to blue light from the screens, causing lethargy and our eye health, and reduces productivity, whether at work or play.

BLINK is designed as a non intrusive, anti-technology device which allows users greater control of time. It detects and records exposure to blue light, healthy white light and sleep hours.

The device communicates with the users' mobile devices through accounts to document the daily recommended requirements to sunlight and provide an analysis of the user's exposure to light and rest amounts. Users are allowed to toggle controls to limit his or her exposure allowing warnings and automatic locking of their devices once they have reached their daily maximum. Multiple devices could be tagged to one account.

Inspired by simplicity of Misfit tracker devices and taking reference from the shape of our eyes, Blink is sylistically versatile for men and women, at any occasion and time.

The choice of Blink comes in the form of a pendant and wrist watch, made of lightweight, breathable weaved straps. Components and materials; Fiberglass screen, LED light and panel, electonic panel, battery and connections. Body made of anodised aluminium.
